TIA issues New TDMA Third Generation Wireless Enhanced General Packet-Data Service (EGPRS-136) Standard

Arlington, VA (September 2, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TIA/EIA-136-370-E TDMA Third Generation Wireless Enhanced General Packet-Data Service (EGPRS-136).

TIA/EIA-136-370-E specifies requirements for telecommunications infrastructure for: This part is to be part of the Revision I of TIA/EIA-136 which incorporates support for 3GPP GERAN Release 9 also included is support for Overload class 12 as per TSB-16-B

TIA/EIA-136-370-E was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-45 Mobile and Point-to-Point Communications Standards, TR-45.3 Time Division Digital Technology - Mobile and Personal Communications Standards subcommittee.
