TIA Issues Call for Interest on Two new Projects for Position Determination Service for cdma2000 Spread Spectrum Systems
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.
Arlington VA. (April 10, 2014) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-45.5 Engineering Committee on Spread Spectrum Digital Technology -- Mobile and Personal Communications Standards has issued a call for interest for document TIA-801-B-2 [E] initially titled "Position Determination Service for cdma2000 Spread Spectrum Systems" and TIA-801-B-2 [E] [SF] initially titled "Position Determination Service for cdma2000 Spread Spectrum Systems Software Distribution". These TR-45.5 addendum and software distribution proposed standards provide parameters for Assisted BeiDou functions and updates to Galileo parameters.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Mobile station and base station manufacturers.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
