TIA Issues a Call for Interest on a New Project for FAST Digital IF Architecture and Open Standard Digital IF Interfaces
Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.
Arlington VA. (Aug. 20, 2015) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-34 Engineering Committee on Satellite Equipment & Systems has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-5041 initially titled FAST Digital IF Architecture and Open Standard Digital IF Interfaces. TR-34 is developing guidelines which will define a standard interface to connect modems, switches and transmitters at a digital intermediate frequency.
The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: satellite communications vendors and operators.
TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
A major function of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) is the writing and maintenance of voluntary industry standards and specifications. These activities are carried out by the volunteer members of TIA engineering committees.
