TIA Announces New Document addressing Private Radio Systems Interoperability Testing for Voice Operation

Arlington, VA (April 13, 2017) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, TIA-102.CABC-C Interoperability Testing for Voice Operation in Trunked Systems.

TIA-102.CABC-C describes interoperability testing for trunking, and is limited to functional operations integral to the performance of voice procedures between subscriber radios and Fixed Network Equipment (FNE) under management of a trunking controller. Physically, the test procedures are confined to both mobile and portable subscriber units and fixed network equipment. This revision incorporates addendum TIA-102.CABC-B-1,

TIA-102.CABC-C was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-8 Mobile and Personal Private Radio Standards, TR-8.25 Compliance Assessment subcommittee.

For more information about TR-8 and how to participate in standards development with TIA, contact Marianna Kramarikova at standards@tiaonline.org.

TIA actively seeks participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
