Chief Information Officer
City of Boston
Mayor Martin J. Walsh appointed Jascha Franklin-Hodge as the City’s Chief Information Officer in June 2014. As Chief Information Officer, Franklin-Hodge leads the City’s efforts to enhance online service delivery, empower City employees with effective digital tools, and improve access to technology and the Internet for all Boston neighborhoods.
Prior to his work with the City, Franklin-Hodge co-founded Blue State Digital (BSD) in 2004 and ran BSD’s Boston technology office. He oversaw the development and operation of the BSD Tools, an online fundraising, email, and CRM platform that powered the digital presence of President Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns. He previouly worked for Howard Dean's groundbreaking 2004 presidential campaign, where he led the technology team responsible for scaling, securing, and maintaining a high visibility, high traffic website.
Since 2009, Franklin-Hodge has served as an advisor to Code for America, a nonprofit which connects technologists with cities to solve civic challenges and encourage innovation in government technology.
Previously, Franklin-Hodge was the director of software development for AOL's Digital Music Division, and has worked for the Art Technology Group and Software Tool and Die, and has consulted for the Computer Museum, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Niemen Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University. Franklin-Hodge studied computer science at MIT and lives in South Boston.

Mobile & Connected Platforms
John Jackson is Research Vice President, Mobile & Connected Platforms. He is responsible for IDC's research on content and service distribution strategies across mobile and connected platforms and execution environments. John has spent the past twelve years researching mobile and computing technologies and business strategies. His areas of expertise include application development and delivery platforms, mobile devices, communications semiconductors, operator and channel strategies, network technologies and standards, as well as market forecasting. Prior to joining IDC, John was a Vice President of Research at CCS Insight, a UK-based market research and advisory firm, and before that he led the Yankee Group's Wireless/Mobile Technologies practice.

Rajesh is a visionary who, together with the other company founders, accurately identified the need for easy to deploy, resilient and cost effective LTE network architecture that would overcome many of the legacy technical challenges associated with wireless communications — the foundation upon which Parallel Wireless was born. Rajesh co-founded the company after 21+ years of reimagining the wireless, wireline, and cable industry and leads the technology behind the Parallel Wireless? solutions. As one of the industry’s pioneers in convergence technologies, he led the development of next-gen VoLTE and 3G/4G Femtocell convergence servers at Tatara, led transformation of first commercial soft switch into a Wireless MSC product at Bell Labs/Lucent, reimagined cable industry leading IMS servers at Cedarpoint, and led a commercial mobile ad hoc networks (MANETS) development at Powerwave Cognition. He has 25 US and international patents pending and issued. He holds a BS in Computer Science from IIT.

John Jacobs joined TIA in January 2010. An accomplished, international marketing executive, John brings extensive global marketing, product management, and business development experience to TIA; providing thought leadership for the association as it works on behalf of the continually evolving information and communications technology industry. John also oversees TIA's member services activities.
Prior to joining the TIA leadership team, John was Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager, Americas Region of Decisive Media, Ltd., and its cutting-edge online industry media network, TelecomTV.
Earlier John worked at Yankee Group Research as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Product Management. John has also served as Head of the Marketing and Business Development Division for the United Nations' International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Prior to this John worked at MCI Communications Corporation, where he was Director of Marketing for the Wireless and Prepaid Communications Groups.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from The American University in Washington, DC and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
