Wireless Communications Systems - Performance in Noise and Interference Limited Situations - Part 1: Recommended Methods for Technology-Independent Performance Modeling

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (May 01, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.18 Engineering Committee on Wireless Systems Compatibility - Interference and Coverage has issued a call for interest for document TSB-88.1-D-1 initially titled "Wireless Communications Systems - Performance in Noise and Interference Limited Situations - Part 1: Recommended Methods for Technology-Independent Performance Modeling". TR-8.18 is revising Annex E of this TSB to be less affected by changes in regulation. In the past, frequent regulatory changes have caused the need for changes to Annex E. By revising the wording to cite, rather than quote, the regulations subcommittee eliminates the need for frequent updates.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: LMR customers, consultants, and manufacturers.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
