TIA issues New Project 25 Mobile Data Peripheral Interface Standard
ANSI/TIA-102.BAEG Specifies Requirements for Project 25 Mobile Data Peripheral Interface
Arlington, VA (May 14, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association, which develops standards for the information and communications technology industry, has released a new document, ANSI/TIA-102.BAEG, Project 25 Mobile Data Peripheral Interface.
ANSI/TIA-102.BAEG specifies the protocols utilized on the Mobile Data Peripheral Interface which is designated as the A Interface in the TIA-102 Open System Interface Model. The information necessary to enable interoperable services and functionality on this interface is provided in this document. This standard is intended to be used in conjunction with TIA-102.BAEB-B, Project 25 Data Overview and Specification. On April 25, 2013 ANSI/TIA-102.BAEG was unanimously adopted by P25 Steering Committee (SC) for inclusion in their Project 25 Suite of Standards. Additionally, the P25 SC voted unanimously to continue to include the reaffirmation of ANSI/TIA-102.BAAA-A in their Project 25 Suite of Standards and retain “Project 25” in title.
ANSI/TIA-102.BAEG was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-8 Mobile and Personal Private Radio Standards, TR-8.5 Signaling and Data Transmission
