TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Projects for cdma2000® Spread Spectrum Systems

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (September 24, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-45.5 Engineering Committee on Spread Spectrum Digital Technology -- Mobile and Personal Communications Standards has issued a call for interest for the following documents:

TIA-2000.1-F-1 initially titled "Introduction to cdma2000® Spread Spectrum Systems"

TIA-2000.2-F-1 initially titled "Physical Layer Standard for cdma2000®  Spread Spectrum Systems"

TIA-2000.3-F-1 initially titled "Medium Access Control (MAC) Standard for cdma2000®  Spread Spectrum Systems"

TIA-2000.4-F-1 initially titled "Signaling Link Access Control (LAC) Standard for cdma2000®  Spread Spectrum Systems"

TIA-2000.5-F-1 initially titled "Upper Layer (Layer 3) Signaling Standard for cdma2000®  Spread Spectrum Systems".

These addendum include text for cdma2000 1x networks for Device Binding. cdma2000® networks shall support a mechanism to restrict the use of a cdma2000® M2M access subscription to a specific cdma2000®  M2M Device or a M2M group of devices. The solution supports cdma2000 1x networks.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: mobile phone manufacturers and users.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
