TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Wireless Priority Service Enhancements for CDMA Systems

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (September 24, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-45.8 Engineering Committee on Core Networks - Mobile and Personal Communications Standards has issued a call for interest for document TIA-917-1 initially titled "Wireless Priority Service Enhancements for CDMA Systems".  The base standard, TIA-917, was published in 2004.  The addendum will update the standard to include recent enhancements for the handling of priority service mechanisms at times of overload.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Wireless Service Providers, Wireless Infrastructure Vendors.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
