TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Trunking Procedures

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (July 02, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.10 Engineering Committee on Trunking and Conventional Control has issued a call for interest for document TIA-102.AABD-B initially titled "Trunking Procedures". This revision to the Trunking Procedures standard incorporates several enhancements. It will absorb the existing Composite Control Channel and Conventional Fallback addendums (TIA-102.AABD-A-1 and TIA-102.AABD-A-2 respectively) and provide additional clarifications to various aspects of wide area operation.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: All manufacturers and users of TIA-102 compliant Land Mobile Radio equipment.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.

To inquire about participating in TIA standards developing efforts, please contact the TIA Technology & Standards Department at 703-907-7000 or via e-mail at standards@tiaonline.org.
