TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Interference Criteria for Microwave Systems

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (August 28, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-45 Engineering Committee on Mobile and Point-to-Point Communications Standards has issued a call for interest for document ANSI/TIA-10 initially titled "Interference Criteria for Microwave Systems".

The focus of this work is to update the TIA TSB-10-F, Interference Criteria for Microwave Systems document.  The former TIA TSB-10-F is widely used for fixed point to point microwave frequency coordination. Last published in 2004, the document requires updates to adequately address modern microwave radio networks. The proposed project will address needed updates and will be broader than interference criteria.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Telecommunication operators and vendors.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
