TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Administration of Parameter Value Assignments for cdma2000 Spread Spectrum Standards

Stakeholders Invited to Contact TIA Regarding Participation.

Arlington VA. (July 1, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-45.5 Engineering Committee on Spread Spectrum Digital Technology -- Mobile and Personal Communications Standards has issued a call for interest for document TSB-58-K initially titled "Administration of Parameter Value Assignments for cdma2000^® Spread Spectrum Standards". 

This revision project records new Service Option assignments for Enhanced Variable Rate Narrowband-Wideband plus 2kbps Codec (EVRC-NW2k) and Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD).  In addition, it records new Service Categories for concatenated broadcast SMS. These changes support mobile phones currently deployed on cdma2000^® networks.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: mobile phone manufacturers and users.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
