Privacy Policy

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information-gathering and dissemination practices for this site,

IP and Usage Tracking. We use your computer's IP (Internet Protocol) address to help diagnose problems with our server, track down spammers and to administer our Web site. We track visitor traffic patterns throughout our site. We do break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, operating system and time of day by reading this information from the browser string, which is information sent along with every user's browser when a user enters a Web page.

Order and Registration Forms. Our site's order and registration forms require users to give us contact information, such as their e-mail addresses. The customers' contact information is used to contact them when TIA deems it appropriate. Financial information collected is used to bill the customers for products and/or services only, such as membership dues or Store orders. Credit card information is not held on-site at TIA for orders placed via our Web site. These transactions use secure, encrypted Verisign payment services.

Discussion Forum. Our site offers users a way to interact as a community via online discussion forums. All information submitted is optional. If visitors should wish to make their name, company name, e-mail address and/or other information available to other users of our discussion forum, that information is visible to the public.

Online Membership Database. Our site offers users a way to query our membership database for products, services and companies and to sort that data accordingly. Should any member company find information on its record it does not want to make publicly available, please send a request to TIA's Webmaster via the contact information below, or log in to Members Only and update it manually.
