Network Transition: Going From the PSTN to an all Internet Protocol Network

The nation's communications network is undergoing a fundamental change as the “public switched telephone network” (PSTN) transitions toward becoming a platform relying on packet technology using the Internet Protocol (IP) suite of protocols.  Although this conversion of the PSTN to an “all-IP” network is inevitable, the transition's timing depends on the resolution of important policy questions.

This TIA program is being hosted by the association’s Broadband Convergence Working Group (BCWG) and will precede a meeting of TIA’s Public Policy Committee.   It will be videotaped for replay on our online video network, TIA NOW.  ADTRAN Vice President and the BCWG’s Chairman, Gary Bolton, will lead the discussion as its moderator.

When: June 21, 2013, 10:00am - 12:30pm

Where: TIA Headquarters, 1320 N. Courthouse Rd., Suite 200, Arlington, VA 22201
