TIA Files Comments in Support of FCC’s Plans to Modernize E-Rate Program for Schools and Libraries
ARLINGTON, VA (September 16, 2013) – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leading association representing the manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech communications networks, today filed comments with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in support of the Commission’s proposed goals for modernizing its E-rate program for schools and libraries.
“Increased technological flexibility for E-rate program participants, coupled with greater incentives for efficient, economical investment decisions, will help schools and libraries realize the benefits of advanced broadband connectivity for students and library users throughout the United States,” said Grant Seiffert, TIA President.
