David Heard, Board Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer, TIA
Prior to taking on the CEO role at TIA, David was president of Network and Service Enablement (NSE) at JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU), leading the strategy to unleash shareholder value by splitting the firm into two publicly traded companies, Viavi Solutions and Lumentum. Prior to JDSU, David held CEO and executive-level positions in the technology industry. He was instrumental in the rollout of HDTV, in taking BigBand Networks public, and leading the growth of mobility and broadband businesses with AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He also led software and policy management with Tekelec, VOiP growth in fixed and mobile communications at Santera Systems, and the successful creation and spin-off of Spatial Networks, where he was a founding board member. Prior to that, he was CEO of Somera, a provider of asset management and professional services for the data, telecom, and wireless markets. David holds a MS degree in Management from Stanford University, where he was a Sloan Fellow. He also holds an MBA from the University of Dayton, and a BS in Production and Operations Management from Ohio State University. He currently sits on the boards of Milestone Sports, Zyvex Performance Materials, and NWave, an loT company.



Brenda Boehm, Chief Strategy Officer, Executive Vice President, Technology & Products, TIA
Brenda is responsible for the overall strategic direction and provides the technology and product leadership for TIA. Brenda’s deep industry expertise is based upon her successful leadership roles at both the executive and board levels with various innovation-focused technology companies from entrepreneurial start-ups; Starent Networks, Tango Networks, and Cyphre to Fortune 100 leaders; Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia. This uniquely broad set of experiences and skills have equipped her with the insight to create a market vision that recognizes industry disruption, an ability to harness change for innovation, develop global market reach and ensure the most successful operational best practices. Most recently Brenda’s focus has been on developing company infrastructure and operational transformation; driving virtualized, dynamic, secure networks that can connect to everything, everywhere. She recognizes that this new architecture and operational transformation will bring further efficiencies, agility and an ability to truly manage the new Internet of Things. Brenda Boehm holds a Masters of Science (MS) from SMU’s School of Engineering in Telecommunications and a Bachelors (BA) in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from the University of Louisiana. She also attended Stanford’s prestigious Graduate School of Business Executive Program, recently completed the Advanced Computer Security Certification Program.


Susan Schramm, Chief Marketing Officer & Senior Vice President of Membership and Marketing, TIA
Susan has served in top sales and marketing roles for a range of innovative, high-tech companies. Most recently at Viavi Solutions, Schramm served as Vice President, Global Sales and Channel Effectiveness. She served as Head of Global Portfolio Solutions Marketing at Nokia and Head of North American Marketing at Nokia Siemens Networks, having previously led Carrier Sales at Siemens. While in these roles, Schramm also served as an officer on the TIA board of directors, and on the board of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS).

John Jacobs, Vice President, Market Intelligence and Research TIA
John joined TIA in January 2010. As an accomplished, international marketing executive, he brings extensive global marketing, product management, and business development experience to TIA; providing thought leadership for the association as it works on behalf of the continually evolving information and communications technology industry. John also oversees TIA's member services activities. Prior to joining the TIA leadership team, John was Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager, Americas Region of Decisive Media, Ltd., and its cutting-edge online industry media network, TelecomTV.Earlier John worked at Yankee Group Research as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Product Management. John has also served as Head of the Marketing and Business Development Division for the United Nations' International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Prior to this John worked at MCI Communications Corporation, where he was Director of Marketing for the Wireless and Prepaid Communications Groups.John holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from The American University in Washington, DC and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
