TIA-Embassy Telecom Attaché Meeting
TIA hosted an Embassy Telecom Attaché Meeting in its Washington office, with a focus on international broadband policies.
After giving a brief overview of U.S. policy on broadband, TIA’s Nick Fetchko, Director, and Anne Pizzato, Manager of International and Government Affairs, introduced invited speakers Masaru Fujino (left), Counselor for Communications Policy for the Embassy of Japan, and Young Noh (right), Minister Counselor of Information and Communications for the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
Attendees included representatives of TIA member companies, such as Alcatel-Lucent, Qualcomm, SkyTerra Communications, Nortel and Tyco Electronics, as well as representatives from embassies of Britain, Canada, China, the European Union, France and Ireland.
Representatives from TIA also attended a briefing given in Washington by United States Information Technology Office (USITO) Managing Director John Chiang on the regulatory and trade climate in China for the information and communications technology industry.
