• TIA Revises Project 25 Testing Standard for Trunked Radio Equipment
  To meet the need of public safety, public service, and first responders for secure voice communications, TIA has published TIA-102.CABC-A, which defines methodology for testing the interoperability of subscribers’ and fixed network equipment (FNE) in a trunked systems environment designed to the complementing documents that comprise the Project 25 suite of standards.
• TIA Announces Speakers for USA Pavilion at ITU TELECOM ASIA 2008
  The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), host of the USA Pavilion at ITU TELECOM shows, has announced the speakers lineup for the USA Pavilion Theater at ITU TELECOM ASIA 2008 in Bangkok, where TIA members and exhibitors representing the information and communications technology (ICT) industry will meet Sept. 2-5.

  The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), the leader in advocacy, standards development, business development and intelligence for the information and communications technology (ICT) industry, applauded the passage of a key communications modernization bill today by the U.S. House of Representatives, H.R. 3403, the “New and Emerging Technologies 911 Improvement Act of 2008.” The bill was passed by the Senate last week.
